Weirdly enough, my sibling and I had the same dream a few months apart (neither of us told the other). That was incredibly strange... I also had a very very vivid one right after my grandfather passed where he was talking to me and telling me everything was going to be okay. I loved that one :)

The fact that you both dreamt the same thing is wild! It’s hard to wrap your head around how that even happens. I’m so happy you got to have that comforting visit from your grandfather. Those are the kinds of dreams that really stay with you 🤍

This was fascinating! I love hearing people’s most memorable dreams. I write mostly about dreams if you’re interested :)

i literally love dreams so much and i always look into them wayyy too deep. i even did a research project on them! its so fascinating how everyone dreams differently and interprets them differently as well. great read!

So glad you enjoyed reading! 🤗 Also, a research project? That’s impressive! It really is one of the most fascinating topics out there. Did you find any particular theories or interpretations that really stuck with you?

hmm im trying to remember it was a while ago. but i think personally the most interesting thing that i remember was a theory of it being your subconscious and that what you dream has some sort of "meaning" its just sometimes displayed in an odd way.

Ohhh, interesting. It makes so much sense that our subconscious would use strange symbols to express what we’re really feeling. It definitely adds a layer of mystery to the whole experience! Thanks for sharing it with me 😊

I often feel like my dreams are the strangest and most exciting. Sometimes, in the morning, I don't want to wake up because I want to keep dreaming what I was dreaming. Other times, I don't want to fall back asleep even if I wake up in the middle of the night, for fear that the dreams will start all over again.

I know what you mean! It’s crazy how dreams can have such a hold on us. Thanks for sharing and reading, Anna! 🤗🤍

This was really fascinating. My mother had an abortion back in 2000. There were some health complications. I must have been 7 at the time. She had a dream 2 weeks before the procedure where she saw an old lady who told her that this decision could come at a cost. And she looked out the window and saw a dark tidal wave just rising and rising in slow motion. 3 weeks after the procedure when she was still healing and recovering her father who she was incredibly close to being the only daughter out of 6 kids, passed away. I was too young to remember a lot of that time but i just remember her hysterically crying for weeks and weeks. Sorry for oversharing lol

Woah, that is a deeply moving story to share. It’s haunting how dreams sometimes seem to echo the gravity of our real-world experiences. I can only imagine how difficult that time was for your mother, and for you, even if your memories of it are only fragments. Please don't feel like you overshared! Your perspective adds so much depth to the conversation. Thanks for sharing and reading, Amiraan! 🤍

I have a reoccurring dream where I'm riding a roller coaster and either my safety device fails or somebody throws me out of mid-ride and plunge to the ground. I emerge barely bruised and am pretty upset about the betrayal. I have a much worse spinoff of that dream, too.

I've had sleep paralysis once in the middle of a nightmare. It's like augmented virtual reality -- you see your room while being "awake" but your mind is overlaying horrors onto it.

I wrote a piece on another one of mine: https://stevemonaco.substack.com/p/dreams-that-break-you

Frequency of remembered dreams has gone down since hitting my 30s and now into my 40s.

Your description of sleep paralysis as 'augmented reality' is a perfect way to put it. Those roller coaster dreams sound like an emotional roller coaster in themselves. I also appreciate the link! I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts on this 🤍

Dreaming is my favourite time of the day (yet night). I remember I had three last night. That reminds me, I need to check in with a friend. I believe deeply in their meanings, stories and their prophetic capabilities.

marga ꕤ's avatar

Isn't it amazing how vivid and significant they can be? It sounds like you have a really strong intuition for their meanings. Sending good vibes for your conversation with your friend 🤍

Thanks Marga. He seemed ok.. A bit quiet when I explained the dream and meaning. I think there's more to come, once he has had time to process.
