I LOVE the way this is done. Starting with the chat conversation and then moving to the poem just made it that much more impactful. It felt so realistic like a real breakup... a true credit to your writing! You truly can do anything :)

Oh wow, thank you, Alex! I’m so glad you enjoyed the shift from the conversation to the poem. It was a fun way to tell the story. 😊🫶🏻

This is so creative and well written, Marga!! I do believe when someone is no longer meant to be in our lives, we will no longer bump into each other despite living in the same area. I love this so much 🥹

Aww. Thank you so much! There's something so peaceful about trusting that people just naturally move out of our orbit when the time is right. Happy you loved this!

This is so well done! I love the combination of the texting ('this account is unnavailable' really got me😭) and then the reflection, and the poem at the end, it all ties together really well :)

Awww. Thank you! I was really hoping that shift from the text conversation to the poem would feel natural, so I’m thrilled to hear it that you enjoyed it.

this feels like such a tender exploration of grief that doesn’t come from anger, but from the quiet ache of loving someone and still knowing you have to let each other go.

i loved the idea that a healthy ending doesn’t erase what happened. it honors that something beautiful existed, even if it couldn’t last. “not forgetting. just never finding each other again” is such a haunting thought.

there’s something deeply human about grieving not only a person, but the version of yourself that existed alongside them 🕊️

Emma 🥹 I’m so moved by your comment. The idea that you don't have to forget in order to move forward is something I think about often. Thank you for reading and for sharing your perspective! 🫶🏻

This is such a beautiful example of unity of form and concept! (Modern love as the concept and the text style as the form).

The poem was also so amazing!

marga ꕤ's avatar

I appreciate you saying that! It was a fun challenge to blend the style with the concept, and I’m so glad you liked the poem as well. Thank you for reading! 🩷

the chat was very immersive, and its ending made me sad (in a good way). I also like the poem, it fits well with the theme!

I feel the tenderness in between the lines that doesn’t often come with the ending of a relationship. Thanks for sharing, Marga.
